Playing cards, including games like Uno, is generally discouraged in Islam because they can distract people from remembering Allah and from prayer. If playing cards leads to neglecting religious duties or involves gambling, it becomes haram. However, if the game does not include any haram elements and does not cause one to neglect their obligations, it is permissible.
