The halal status of soy sauce depends on its ingredients and brewing process. Naturally brewed soy sauce can contain alcohol, usually around 1.5% to 2.5%, resulting from the fermentation process. If this alcohol content causes intoxication, even in large amounts, it is haram. However, if the alcohol content is minimal and does not cause intoxication, it may be considered halal. And Allah knows best.
