Numerology, a branch of astrology and fortune telling, is haram in Islam. It involves the study of the occult meanings of numbers and their supposed influences on human life and creation.
Practicing numerology or seeking help from numerologists is haram and puts a person’s faith at great risk.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Whosoever approaches a soothsayer and asks him regarding anything, his Salah will not be accepted for forty nights” (Muslim). One should seek solutions through Allah, the Quran, and the way shown by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
