Yes, leasing a car is generally considered halal if certain conditions are met. If the contract is genuinely a rental agreement with specified monthly payments and includes a clear promise of ownership at the end of the lease term, it is permissible. Sharia law is compatible with car leasing because the transaction involves an underlying asset, and all terms, including ownership, costs, and end-of-lease value, are clearly set out in advance.
