It is Makrooh (disliked) to let nails grow too long, but it does not affect the validity of Salaah (prayer). Having long nails is against the fitrah (natural disposition) due to cleanliness and hygiene concerns. If fingernails gather filth and impurities that prevent water from reaching the skin during Wudhoo’ (ablution), the prayer may be invalid. However, if nails are cleaned properly, it is not haram to pray with them long.
