Yes, crabs are halal. According to Islamic teachings, all sea creatures are permissible to eat. Allah says in the Quran, “Lawful to you is game from the sea and its food as provision for you and the travelers” (Al-Ma’idah 5:96). The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also said, “Its water is pure and its dead are lawful” (Narrated by Abu Dawood, Al-Tirmidhi, and Al-Nasa’i from Abu Hurayrah).
This ruling includes crabs as they are sea animals, making them permissible to eat.
