A man may kiss, hug, and touch his wife without having intercourse when he is fasting. However, if there is a fear that it may lead to something forbidden due to arousal, it is disliked. Hugging members of the opposite sex who are not related by blood or marriage is to be avoided at all times, whether fasting or not. If semen (maniy) is emitted due to hugging a non-mahram, the fast is invalidated, and one must make up that day.
