Clams are generally considered haram by most Islamic scholars, particularly in the Hanafi school, as they are not classified as fish. Additionally, potential health risks associated with their consumption contribute to their impermissibility. However, there is some disagreement among Muslims, with a minority believing clams to be halal. And Allah knows best.
